I always have to stop and think when someone asks what I do. Between you and me, there are days when I'd like to say "everything," but that sounds kind of snarky and disingenuous.
Plus, it's not really accurate. I'm not a rocket scientist, doctor, or a lawyer. I don't know how to play an instrument or install an electrical panel, though I did once rewire the lights on my truck.
What I am is an entrepreneur and professional networker.
I am also an experienced journalist, trained facilitator, and small business strategist, with over 15 years' experience as a web developer.
My skills cover a lot of ground, but can be distilled down to three areas.
Some people say that having a crazy combination of business, creative, and tech backgrounds makes me a good generalist, but I think it makes me a great problem solver.
Which is exactly what entrepreneurs do. We solve problems.
This is why Lisa and I built The Business Guild.
We've been where you are.
We've both owned our own businesses, and we get that fine line between frustrating and fabulous.
If you're nodding your head because this all sounds familiar, I would love to hear your story.
If you're already a guild member, skip the line and send me a DM or connect with me in one of our member forums.
